Behavioural Strategist

THE ROLE

This is such an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for digital marketing and a knowledge and love of behavioural economics. This person will join the leadership team at Reflect Digital and have the opportunity to steer our future when it comes to integrating digital and behavioural science. 

We are looking for someone who understands the importance of psychology and customer experience in marketing. Someone who is passionate about understanding the feelings and drivers of online consumers and users. The Behavioural Strategist role is critical within the agency to deliver our clients’ strategies and support their online growth. Furthermore, the Behavioural Strategist will be crucial to instilling Human Behaviour and Behavioural Science as a true USP within the agency.

You will be known as the expert in psychology, behavioural economics and personas and will evangelise the potential of Human Behaviour across the organisation. It’s a key role as you will influence the work of all departments across the agency from the CX team, Paid Media and SEO to provide insights to improve performance in all aspects of marketing.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

The agency will rely on you for: 

  • Building and delivering a coherent Behavioural approach for our clients focusing on behavioural economics and tying in with the wider LAB Group proposition, most importantly, Verj.
  • Training the wider Reflect Digital team by putting in place behavioural frameworks to ensure we can deliver this expertise built into everything we do.
  • Leading on innovation - Ensuring we are delivering market-leading innovations in digital strategy and human behaviour that our clients couldn’t find elsewhere.
  • Performance - Working with the teams to ensure we are the best partner for our clients - offering market-leading approaches, with human behaviour baked in to deliver growth and ROI.
  • Leadership - Working with the teams to bring your behavioural strategies to life and helping upskill their thinking at the same time.
  • Increasing behavioural commercial contribution to the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To apply behavioural knowledge and thinking to digital marketing contexts. This will take innovation and creative thinking to test, validate and deliver behavioural strategy underpinning our digital marketing services.
  • Ensuring that human behaviour, behavioural economics and psychology inform all aspects of Reflect Digital’s services across all teams and clients.
  • Establish the underlying principles of psychology and behavioural science that will be most effective for Reflect Digital and its clients.
  • To be the strategic glue between our services from the end customer viewpoint - helping to shape the customer journey for our clients to ensure their brand is visible on the right channel, at the right time with the right message.
  • Run and deliver persona workshops and their output, supporting teams to translate these into workable strategies, tactics and messaging.
  • Communicate with clients and support them in understanding how human behaviour insights will improve their commerciality.
  • Help to analyse data, and findings and write up engaging reports for clients.
  • Ensure internal stakeholders are sufficiently briefed in turning behavioural science principles into tangible improvements and messaging.
  • Direct the Conversion Rate Optimisation team (CRO) with frameworks and recommendations for website and landing page optimisations based on your insights.
  • Lead, research and create thought leadership for Reflect Digital including blogs, reports and white papers.
  • Create and deliver internal training based on human behaviour and psychology.
  • Support in new business pitches, bringing your expertise to demonstrate our USP.
  • Support all Reflect Digital teams in instilling human behaviour at the heart of their services including sharing insights and improving ways of working.
  • Continually stay abreast of the latest in psychology and human behaviour and how it can be applied to marketing.

  • An understanding of psychology, behavioural economics and behavioural science and its impact on marketing.

  • An understanding and experience in digital marketing, with a particular focus on SEO and Paid Media.

  • The ability to analyse data and insights in order to determine improvements to marketing tactics including copy, targeting and design.
  • Adept at removing the barriers that get in the way of delivering excellent customer service.

  1. Salary £55k+ (DOE)

  2. 33 days with one additional day per year up to 43 (20 days holiday, 8 bank holidays, 3 days at Christmas, 1 Birthday and 1 Charity day)
