CRO Executive

THE ROLE 

We're looking for a passionate individual to support the Head of CX in delivering our CRO offering. The CRO Team is a key part of the CX team. You'll be joining a dynamic and fun team of digital, data and website fanatics. Working with market-leading tools you'll be helping to make data-driven decisions on all aspects of the digital customer experience. You will be known as the expert for all things website from website administration to A/B testing and will evangelise the potential of CRO across the organisation. It's a key role as you will have a direct impact on the customer journey, website performance and be at the core of a test and learn culture within the company.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

The agency will rely on you for: 

  • Support our clients in building and delivering CRO Strategies based on the relevant data
  • Increase CX team commercial contribution to the business
  • Identify and suggest ways to improve efficiencies, e.g. help us “work smarter”
  • Improve the key landing page conversion rates & user experience for our clients websites and landing pages, resulting in increased lead gen & ROI from their various marketing channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish yourself as a trustworthy figure across the company’s various departments (Paid Media, Growth, SEO and Development)
  • Instil a culture of evidence-based approaches to website optimisation throughout the team
  • Have full ownership and accountability for successful execution of key client projects.
  • Conduct internal planning meetings and lead the development of A/B & multivariate testing road maps that will lift conversion rates
  • Communicate regularly both internally and externally on the success of optimisation programmes
  • Create conversion optimization strategies using both qualitative (page evaluations, UX design principles, site reviews) and quantitative (traffic source analysis, web analytics tools) sources
  • Continually strive to find further avenues for revenue growth whether that be cross-selling, new client acquisitions or other means
  • You’ll establish and deliver a robust testing framework for each of our clients
  • You’ll complete research and data analysis to understand each marketing channel and where customer pain points exist within the funnel
  • You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand why inefficiencies may exist and together generate roadmaps on how to improve channel effectiveness
  • You’ll analyse test results and compile detailed retrospectives on your findings to present to key stakeholders
  • Where successful you’ll continue to work with development teams to ensure your winning hypothesis is rolled out to production
  • Utilise the CRO tool available within the company and flag technical issues and ensure testing can continue at pace
  • Investigate issues arising in the sales journey and produce analysis on trading changes or user behaviour trends
  • Participate in or lead weekly client progress meetings during which you will report results, make recommendations, and assist clients in understanding the chosen strategies and what available information was used to aid in strategic decisions
  • Create and build landing pages to support the needs of our Paid Media and SEO teams
  • Create high-quality, comprehensive client deliverables such as project strategy decks, creative briefs, and weekly/monthly reports
  • Troubleshoot and spot existing issues with optimization test set-ups and present results internally or externally through the production of high quality documentation
  • Train clients on Conversion Optimization

CORE SKILLS

  • Deep understanding of conversion/persuasion best practices and the ability to apply that knowledge to client projects
  • Ability to write compelling value propositions
  • Website administration experience including basic HTML editing
  • A good understanding of Google analytics
  • The ability to analyse key website pages and suggest tests and improvements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with rapidly changing variables and eager to take end-to-end ownership with little supervision
  • Superior attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated to seek answers, generate ideas and develop new skills
  • Internalized knowledge of online marketing concepts & the role that usability and user experience plays in achieving online business goals
  • Familiarity with conversion optimization testing tools such as Google Optimize, Optimizely and PageSense
  • Understand best practices for UI and UX for websites, landing pages, mobile, and desktop
  • Strong grasp of ROI with an analytical mind
  • Organised and methodical in setting up test processes

  1. Salary dependent on experience

  2. 33 days with one additional day per year up to 43 (20 days holiday, 8 bank holidays, 3 days at Christmas, 1 Birthday and 1 Charity day)
