Maternity Cover - Operations Manager

THE ROLE.

We are looking for someone to cover the 12 month maternity period for our Head of Delivery. The role will be part-time, 22.5 hours per week.

It is essential that the successful candidate has experience in creating and implementing processes to increase efficiency across multiple teams, creating and analysing internal reports for team utilisation, client profitability and revenue, planning and managing resources across the business, and delivering profitable projects on time.

  • Work with the teams to improve agency processes and working standards.
  • Deliver quality & profitable projects, on time.
  • Manage agency resources vs. billable revenue.
  • Run and Analyse Internal reports
  • Enabling all agency teams to deliver their best work.

RESPONSIBILITIES.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring key departments understand their responsibilities for projects and ongoing retainers with a clear and concise process which should be implemented throughout the project/agency.
  • Enabling new/ existing business sales to maximise revenue capability through effective planning around utilisation KPIs.
  • Forward planning resource and identifying pinch points before they occur.
  • Taking on new challenges/ projects to improve the quality and efficiency of work from the agency, delivering them effectively whilst being commercially aware.
  • Setting up and delivering exceptional projects and with the intention of exceeding client expectations.
  • Managing the design and development teams schedules and oversee SEO and PPC team resourcing.
  • Delivering projects within a set budget/ timeline and setting up smooth processes within the agency.
  • Producing monthly business reporting and using this data to improve business performance. 
  • Ensuring all processes are clearly documented and understood by relevant team members.

  • Consistently delighting our customers and receiving positive feedback/ excellent NPS scores.
  • Balancing the commercial needs of the business with available resources to maximise deliverables and to support agency growth.
  • Supporting leadership team to achieve utilisation and revenue per head KPI targets.
  • Enable great work by delivering a systemised and process-driven approach for smooth profitable operations.

YOUR PLACE IN THE AGENCY AND KEY RELATIONSHIPS

  • Report to the Chief Operating Officer
  • Working with Technical and Creative departments to directly manage resources/scheduling.
  • Supporting Client Services, SEO and PPC departments with delivering ongoing retainers and projects to clients.


THE PACKAGE.

  1. Salary: £35K - £45K pro rata dependant on experience

  2. Annual Leave: 20 days (pro rata) with one additional day per year up to 30 days, plus birthday and Christmas free time
