Hi my name is Dhriti Shashikanth and I am a Digital Marketing Executive Intern here at Reflect Digital. I will be graduating from the University of Kent this summer with a degree in English and American Literature and having spent the past four years in Higher Education, I am looking forward to experiencing working life!
Having worked at the university as a Social Media Assistant, I became interested in social media marketing as I liaised with the corporate team to work on their social media campaigns, created and edited content and aided in the general running of the main Instagram and Facebook pages. Furthermore, as a Student Ambassador, I gained a lot of experience in working with international and prospective students which I really enjoyed. I love helping people and have spent many years volunteering for different charities - this year I was overjoyed to find out that I had received an award for my volunteer work and contributions towards the university’s Buddy Scheme!
While working with Reflect Digital, I would love to learn more about SEO and content writing as well as anything else the company can offer to teach me!
Dhriti's Likes & Dislikes
I love to cook! As an Indian, I have always grown up with amazing food around me and have always been interested in creating my own recipes and spending far too much money on extremely complicated dishes. My achievement so far has been cooking my own Thai green curry from scratch (it took me about 3 hours to complete but was supremely delicious).
I like anything crafty or inventive and I have spent hours making clothes, abstract painting and even experimented in making my own organic soaps!
Learning new languages has always been fun for me and I have a good level of fluency in Korean. I am now hoping to learn more German although it is proving to be a difficult task.
Although I am not the type to dislike many things, I really dislike those big, hairy spiders you come across every so often. They scare me more than they really should.
I have never been on a rollercoaster, even though I am not afraid of heights. I just really hate the feeling in your belly when fairground rides dip down from a height.
Also I really don’t like seafood, although I am trying very hard to change that!
