How did you get into what you do?
I've been in digital marketing for the last five years, having experienced a broad range of marketing disciplines and deciding that I was definitely the digital type. I'd started writing a blog in my own time and found that I loved building and managing the website, writing all the content and then promoting it online. From there I decided to focus my career on content creation and finding the best ways of getting it read or seen by the right people.
Why are you passionate about what you do?
I love the psychology of marketing. I like identifying how best to target certain types of people to achieve a result - how they like to digest content, the language you should use and how to target them. I think this is really at the root of everything: know who you're talking to.
What's been your career highlight to date?
I love creating social media content and have really enjoyed growing accounts from zero to hero.

The way to my heart is with a really good cup of tea. I’m not sure I could function well without them – they make such a difference to the day! You’re much more likely to find me getting stuck into a book or a TV show with a big cup of tea than out at a bar. I have a real sweet tooth and can often be seen with a handful of biscuits (if they’re not being dunked, obviously) or a bag of fizzy cola bottles! Finally, I like people who tell me how it is. I might have a sweet tooth, but I don’t like sugar-coating. I really value honest, straight-talking people and I like to know where I stand – just be straight with me!
OK so I have an irrational hatred for peas. I wish I had a valid explanation for this but I totally don’t, I just think peas are really gross. I don’t like spiders – no matter how small you tell me it is, I’m not listening. I’ve probably already left the room. Lastly, people who are rude really wind me up. I don’t think it’s difficult to be kind to others and yet some people find it so hard! Just be nice.
