Simply Hops, part of the Barth-Haas Group, is the leading supplier of hop products across the UK, Europe and South Africa.
As soon as the prospect of a lockdown began to impact businesses due to the coronavirus pandemic, they came to us looking for help creating a not-for-profit website to help people find a local brewery, taproom or bottle shop and get craft beer delivered to their doors. They feared that these outlets, being their customers, could suffer greatly or even potentially close during lockdown if they didn’t gain support.
With two weeks to launch the brand and website, our design team produced a brand identity that told the audience what Beer is Here does, by combining a location pin and using negative space to create the beer glass. Our developers built a site that made it easy for both people to find where their local breweries are and for those outlets to sign up. The client loved what was produced!
We developed a three-part PR and Outreach strategy. We were able to confirm we would be able to achieve top-tier coverage by getting early buy-in from several journalists following conversations about the Beer Is Here idea.
Phase 1: Press releases targeted at national, local and industry newsdesks / and speaking to journalists about the launch of the website, why it’s been created, what it does and who it’s for
Phase 2: Updated press releases explaining how many users had used the site and how many breweries had signed up. We created a map of the UK to highlight this and target local newsdesks.
Phase 3: A further update on how successful the website has been, including spend figures on craft beer home delivery via the site!
Our creative team delivered a fantastic new brand identity and website for the client, including videos for social promotion - all of which was crafted with the aim of driving users to their new website.

"Reflect Digital helped turn around our middle-of-the-night ideas and made them a reality in just a few days, and I was blown away by their response. Within weeks we had developed one of the best resources in the beer industry and are helping over 1,500 small breweries stay open during this difficult time, having gained tens of thousands of users and some great press exposure."
