Search behaviour in travel has reached a tipping point. For the first time, over half of consumers are now using AI search tools, while under-25s increasingly treat TikTok as a self-contained travel agent, often without turning to Google at all. And with 96% of travellers using social platforms for inspiration and traditional search in decline, the challenge for travel brands has shifted from winning the click to earning visibility within AI-generated answers and decision moments.

We’ll discuss what the data reveals about trust, platform choice, and decision-making, and what travel brands need to do differently to stay visible and relevant at every stage of the journey in 2026.
