  • LLMs like ChatGPT have large volumes of training data which provides the majority of its answers. This data has a cutoff point, meaning your site needs to warrant additional search resources if it wasn’t in the original training data. This means your website needs to show structured, relevant and authoritative information in a way an LLM can understand.

  • Crawlers, Bots, and Agents are designed to process the information on your site, however technical issues, lack of trust and authority, alongside illogical structure and missing context harm their ability to process and understand your website.

It is worth bearing in mind that of these methodologies are consistently evolving and redefining what “best” means; however, all of these changes are designed to serve better results to users (crawlers, bots, agents) and ultimately humans.
