For over 40 years Kent Modular Electronics (KME) have been a leading manufacturer and designer of monitors for rugged environments. They approached us looking to rebrand and bring their logo up to date as they had been using the original logo when the company started in 1976.
New Logo Design
After meeting with the client at KME HQ, our in house design team put their heads together, did some research and created four logo concepts to present to the client. We created a logo mark that captures what KME do very well. The three colours represent their key sectors – air, ground and sea. The icon can also be views as a military rank and 3D visual of a monitor.
Exhibition Stand and Banner
KME unveiled their new branding at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI), a world leading event that brings together the global defence and security sector. After finalising the logo and branding colours, we then developed a ‘new look’ for KME that would be consistent in print and on digital platforms.
KME Branding Elements
Air, sea and land is a theme we ran with for their new branding. KME design and manufacture monitors for military, marine, rail and police vehicles to name just a few. Across the new exhibition stands we created a graphic that would really stand out to passers by at the event. Using the new logo mark we introduced a helicopter, solider figure and marine ship to really put the message across about what KME do and who for.
It was important that any elements introduced in the rebranding would work well on both print and digital. We sat down and really though about how different parts can be used going forward. We introduced the different colour arrows, logo mark graphic and subtle radar background that was used across the print and digital work showcased at the event.
A5 hand out and invitation
Again for the DSEI event, KME wanted to really put their new branding out to existing and potential clients. We where tasked with creating an A5 hand out to introduce the new look and a simple invitation for a networking event. As well as this, a simple landing page was placed on their existing website letting visitors know the new site will be coming soon while still being able to access to original site.
