Forever Green Lawns (FGL) is a successful artificial grass supplier and installation company. FGL engaged our services in Oct 2014 following noticing a noticable decline in their online business.
The main objective of the SEO campaign was to help increase the 2014/15 turnover by 25%. Although FGL was a successful company, their online visibility had been declining after Google Panda and Penguin updates. In order for us to help achieve a 25% increase in turnover we would need to achieve the following objectives:
Remove poor quality links
Improve ranking positions accross a diverse range of relevant keywords/phrases
Increase organic search traffic
Increase conversions through the website
We started work on designing and building a brand new website wich was going to be imperative for increasing online conversions. The original site was in a poor state both from a technical SEO and usability persepctive.
The new website offered us a great opportunity from day one of launch to have it in a great technical and onpage position which we achieved and had an immediate effect. This was demonstrated by the ecommerce tracking we had setup in Google Analytics and telephone tracking with ResponseTap.
Part of the strategy was to identify new target audience groups for FGL to appeal to and so we started the outreach process to identify relevant websites that would be interested in content.
FGL saw a 95% uplift in organic website traffic by the end of the initial campaign and a 40% increase in turnover! They keyword rankings improved from 5 first page rankings to 43 with 27 of these in top 3 positions and number 1 rankings for high volume search terms.
